WELCOME

This is a web site for artists who paint and draw out in the landscape or would like to try. Many find there is immediacy and a tension in working outdoors from life that can elicit freshness and spontaneity in paintings, qualities often hard to recreate in the studio.

Wexford town hosted the first Art in the Open Festival during the August Bank Holiday weekend 2008.

NEXT PAINT OUT
Our next paint out takes place in Hook Head on saturday 6 september, meeting at the coffee shop by the Lighthouse at about 10am.

ART IN THE OPEN 2008
During the August bank holiday weekend a festival of outdoor painting was held around the streets of Wexford.
